This is working well for us and deterring our girl from chewing things she really shouldn’t be chewing! It is easy to apply as it is a spray bottle and it contains 250 mL so should last for a reasonable amount of time. Initially it leaves a wet and slightly sticky residue but that soon dries and goes away. We have found it’s generally been effective and most of the times we applied that she hasn’t gone back and her chewing destructive behaviour has definitely reduced since we have started using it. The bottle came a little misshapen but it still works so not a problem! The smell is very strong and did consume the room when I first opened the package, but it did dissipate within a few hours. Used the spray to stop my pet chewing at a bandage and it worked really well! I didn’t spray directly onto the bandage, but sprayed onto an extra bit of bandage to put on top once dry. Recommended as it really works!

Our dog has decided to chew/grab his lead when getting ready for a walk. Very frustrating, so I have re-visited an old ally from puppy training days – bitter apple spray. I spray the lead lightly (where he is likely to bite it) and hey presto! The dog drops the lead looking slightly bemused. I hope to have him ‘re-trained’ within a week or two. This Bitter Apple Dog Spray from Pawsome is in a very easy to use pump action style plastic bottle. Take care if it gets on your own hands. Actual scent to humans is quite pleasant – sort of citronella like.
Be careful if you get it on your own hands – it is very easy to inadvertently transfer it to your own mouth!

It’s quite strong smelling but not unpleasant. First time I used it the dogs both had a sneezing fit but don’t seem bothered by the smell now – they certainly don’t like the taste which is what is needed!!

I have an 18 month old English Bull Terrier called Bert, from 8 weeks old and still at 18 months old he has been destructive with his chewing, whatever he sees he likes to have a chew on, from the settee to kitchen cupboards and even the rug.
I have tried quite a few of these bitter apple no chew sprays, so I feel that I am quite an expert on reviewing them.
This Pawsome Pals no chew bitter apple spray comes in a plastic bottle, you get 250ml and it has a spray nozzle, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is alcohol free and non toxic.
When Bert looks like he is going to start chewing, I shake the bottle and spray onto the item Bert is interested in,, this spray stops Bert in his tracks straight away and he walks away as soon as he notices the scent.
This spray is a life saver for your sanity if you have a dog that chews what he shouldn’t, it works really well and I give it 5 stars and highly, highly recommend, it is great value for money in my opinion as it stops my house items from being damaged and it also relieves my stress levels.

I’ve tried so many sprays, but my pups are stubborn ones. But from very first use, my dog stopped chewing on furniture, shoes, and cables i sprayed. Also, It smells amazing — light, fresh, and completely natural. Unlike other sprays that stink up the room, this one leaves a pleasant scent you’ll actually enjoy.
I also love that it’s made with natural ingredients, The bottle design is fantastic too— functional, easy to hold, and sprays evenly without dripping. It even looks stylish sitting on my counter (bonus!).
After just a couple of sprays, my pup quickly learned what’s off-limits though I do think you need to be in the habit of reapplying often until they learn completely.
